Amd radeon hd 3870 x2 controls
Crysis is all at high settings and resolution except for shaders and AA.
I havent had a single bad experience with any game yet. Pros: WOW, for real,WOW!! You just cant beat the price/performance. Look in to how much power your components use before you buy a PSU. Any more than that is overkill unless you have a ridiculous amount of hard drives and other extras. However I would recommend getting a 600 or 650 watt for crossfire if you aren't sure about the power your system needs. Yes I like to live on the edge, I know what I'm doing, and this system runs great. Overall Review: I'm running two of these in crossfire with a 500watt Thermaltake power supply. Just warning everyone so they know what to expect. it's purely a coding issue and not the 3870's fault. Also Age of Conan fails to use this cards GPU fully, resulting in lower FPS than this card should be getting. You can get a 3rd party program and tweak the fan settings. Crossfire these for extra ownage.Ĭons: Fan gets a little noisy in my opinion when the powerplay feature activates during 3d apps. Stays cool, can run any game out currently with ease. Tweak it, the fan moves so much air if you set it higher. Overall Review: this card is well worth the buy, especially you oblivion lovers out there, i ran this in 1900x1200 with everything maxed, qarl's texture mod, and 4x anti aliasing with 50fps. Also, the price of this card is an excellent compromise for mid grade gamers who want excellent performance.Ĭons: a bit of tweaking to get all the performance out of it, but i do this for every card so i dont mind a bit. Anyhow, its worth the buy if you over clock it, i was able to keep my temperature around 57C under load after i set the fan speed a tad higher. (original was 8) I put crysis on high shaders and was able to get 30fps as an average, although i think my cpu bottlenecked in some intensive fights. After i overclocked using the catalyst control center and setting the fan speed to 54%, i was able to clock it out to 885 mhz core clock, and 1390 memory clock. I always used nvidia GPUs but after seeing what this puppy can do alone, i may buy another and put it in crossfire. Pros: wow what can i say, i bought this card being a bit skeptical about this new series.

If I wanted NVIDA I would have bought one.Įverything full maxed out, smooth and no frame stuttering - commenting on a marginal performance gain in a benchmark, is not a Real World test. I didnt buy this to have a Benchmark competition, I bought this to enjoy gaming. This card will slam every modern game other than crysis - just like NVIDIA cards. Overall Review: NVIDA Fanboys, Please stop commenting on ATI cards. (msi will probably release an updated driver/bios that will fix this, if enough people flag them on this) this is not really a con as any user can remedy this without an Rma. As other have previously mentioned riva can help with the fan speed. )Ĭons: the fan is about 20 decibles louder than the rest of my system, making it audibly stand out. That will bring the most high end hardware to its knees due to its third world programming. ( I dont care about crysis - silly remake of farcry, Pros: Outstanding performance for a single card, runs everything maxed out, zero frame stuttering.ĬOD4, BioShock, Orange Box, Q4, ETQW, all with every last bit of eye candy enabled at the highest resolution.
